SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 915
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Deloris Rosaya Washington on the occasion of her
retirement from the Social Security Administration after more
than 32 years of public service; and
WHEREAS, Over the years, Deloris has held increasingly
responsible positions, and she is exceptionally knowledgeable
about government policies, regulations, and procedures; and
WHEREAS, Deloris served as a contact representative and a
claims representative; she was a training instructor for a
five-state region and an assistant resource coordinator for
Management and Budget; and
WHEREAS, She also processed retirement, disability, and
survivor's claims, supplemental security income claims, appeals,
identity theft cases, and fraud abuse cases; she worked with
Medicare and assisted the state with its Medicaid programs; and
WHEREAS, A talented and resourceful individual, Deloris
has handled her many responsibilities with exceptional skill and
dedication; she is admired and respected by her colleagues, and
her presence in the office of the Social Security Administration
will be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby commend Deloris Rosaya Washington on
her exceptional career and extend to her best wishes for the
retirement years ahead; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
