SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 916

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
pay tribute to Jerry Dunfey on the grand occasion of his 70th 
birthday; and

	WHEREAS, Jerry was born on May 23, 1935; although some 
might call him old because of his years, he is amazingly young at 
heart; and

	WHEREAS, A beloved and respected member of his community, 
this gracious gentleman is known for his generosity of spirit, 
his compassion for others, and his enthusiasm for living each day 
to its fullest; and

	WHEREAS, To commemorate this special day, his family will 
gather in New Hampshire on the weekend of May 20 through May 22 to 
share in this important milestone in his life; a keepsake album 
filled with letters and memorabilia from his many friends around 
the world will be presented to him as a memento of his exceptional 
life; and

	WHEREAS, Jerry Dunfey has a special place in the hearts of 
his friends and family, and his indomitable spirit and remarkable 
life invigorates and inspires all who know him; now, therefore, 
be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby extend best wishes to Jerry Dunfey on 
the momentous occasion of his 70th birthday; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
him as a memento of this special day.
