SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 919
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Melissa Rae Duncan on the occasion of her graduation
from the University of Houston; and
WHEREAS, After having successfully completed her course
work, Melissa graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of
science degree in political science from the College of Liberal
Arts and Social Sciences on May 13, 2005; and
WHEREAS, An exemplary young woman and a high achiever,
Melissa establishes her goals and pursues them with perseverance
and clear-sightedness; and
WHEREAS, Melissa has planned well for her future, and her
notable achievements in school are evidence of her dedication and
outstanding abilities; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby commend Melissa Rae Duncan on earning
a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of
Houston and extend to her best wishes for success in the years
ahead; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
