SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 929

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased 
to recognize English Mone't Pratts on the occasion of her 
graduation from Xavier University of Louisiana; and

	WHEREAS, After successfully completing her course work,
English received a bachelor of arts degree in political science
from the College of Arts and Sciences on May 7, 2005; and

	WHEREAS, An exemplary young woman and a high achiever, 
English establishes her goals and pursues them with perseverance
and clear-sightedness; and

	WHEREAS, English has planned well for her future, and her
notable achievements in school are evidence of her dedication 
and outstanding abilities; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 
79th Legislature, hereby commend English Mone't Pratts on 
earning a bachelor's degree in political science from Xavier 
University of Louisiana and extend to her best wishes for 
success in the years ahead; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared 
for her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
