SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 934
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Sergeant Jonathon Joseph Pabich for his service to his
country in the United States Marine Corps Reserve Forces and for
his exemplary efforts in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; and
WHEREAS, Jonathon was serving in the Al Anbar province with
Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, 4th Marine
Division, when he was wounded November 9, 2004, during a mortar
attack; he returned to Austin December 15, and he is now on duty
at Camp Mabry; and
WHEREAS, Prior to his military service, Jonathon was
a firefighter and a paramedic in Westlake, a deputy at
Travis County Precinct 1, and a firefighter with the Ce-Bar
Volunteer Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, Sergeant Pabich is a fine example of the patriotic
Americans who have made many personal sacrifices to serve in a
foreign land at a time of extreme danger; and
WHEREAS, He has demonstrated exceptional dedication
and courage during his military missions, and he is truly
an inspiration to the citizens of his community and the
State of Texas; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby commend Sergeant Jonathon Joseph Pabich
for his valor and patriotic service to his country and extend to
him sincere best wishes for a complete recovery; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared
for Sergeant Pabich as an expression of high regard from the
Texas Senate.
