SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 944
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased
to recognize Stephan Eveland of Austin, who has fulfilled the
requirements for graduation from the Texas School for the Deaf;
and
WHEREAS, His graduation on May 26, 2005, is the culmination
of years of diligent study in a curriculum designed to challenge
and broaden his knowledge; and
WHEREAS, Stephan has attended Texas School for the Deaf since
1999; he has been active in football, baseball, and basketball
all four years of high school, and he belonged to the Student Body
Government Club; following his graduation, he plans to work and
then attend college; and
WHEREAS, Stephan can take justifiable pride in having
earned his diploma from the Texas School for the Deaf; the school
is respected in academic circles in Texas and nationally for its
outstanding quality of instruction and dedication to excellence;
and
WHEREAS, Stephan has successfully faced many challenges in
working toward his goals, and he is now well prepared to embark on an
adventure into a world that holds countless exciting opportunities
for him; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby congratulate Stephan Eveland on his
graduation and extend to him best wishes for success in the future;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared as an
expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
