SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 983

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased
to recognize Aaron Polanco on the auspicious occasion of his 
graduation from the United States Naval Academy; and

	WHEREAS, Aaron successfully completed his course work in 
quantitative economics and mathematics and earned a bachelor's 
degree, graduating with highest honors on May 27, 2005; and

	WHEREAS, A high achiever, he establishes and pursues his 
goals with perseverance and a clear vision of his future; his 
notable achievements in school bear witness to his dedication
and outstanding abilities; and

	WHEREAS, Aaron won the Joe Bellino Award for the most 
valuable player on the football team in his freshman year and 
again in his senior year; he led the team as quarterback and 
captain to its best season in almost 100 years in 2005; and

	WHEREAS, Chosen as the premiere candidate for the elite 
United States Marine Corps Aviation Division, Aaron has brought great
honor to himself, his family, the United States Naval Academy,
and the State of Texas; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
79th Legislature, hereby commend Aaron Polanco on graduating 
with highest honors from the United States Naval Academy
and extend to him best wishes for success in the years ahead;
and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
him as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
