SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 991

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
pay tribute to Cecilia Moresi Giancaterino on the grand occasion
of her 90th birthday; and

	WHEREAS, Born in Philadelphia on March 25, 1915, to 
Lucio and Madeline Moresi, Mrs. Giancaterino is a 1933 graduate
of the prestigious William Penn High School; and

	WHEREAS, Cecilia married Warren Giancaterino on 
October 29, 1938, and they raised four children, Madelyn, Warren,
Thomas and Joseph; she has been blessed with 14 grandchildren 
and 21 great-grandchildren; and

	WHEREAS, A clerk for the City of Philadelphia, she retired
in 1980; she was for many years the club secretary for the Order
of Brotherly Love, for which she received a commendation; and

	WHEREAS, Well known for her charm and generosity of spirit,
Mrs. Giancaterino is a beloved member of her community, and she 
is noted for her courage, her compassion for others and her 
enthusiasm for living each day to the fullest; now, therefore, 
be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 
79th Legislature, hereby recognize Cecilia Moresi Giancaterino 
for her accomplishments and extend to her best wishes for the 
future; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
