SENATE RESOLUTION
	WHEREAS, The Brazos River Authority was created by the 
Texas Legislature in Chapter 221, Water Code; and
	WHEREAS, The leaseholders and residents of the Possum 
Kingdom Community have invested heavily in improvements to those 
parcels of land and development of the Possum Kingdom Community 
in general; and
	WHEREAS, The unencumbered, underdeveloped land 
surrounding Possum Kingdom Lake adds value to the area property 
today and preserves the natural beauty of Possum Kingdom Lake for 
future generations; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 79th 
Legislature, hereby direct the Brazos River Authority to work 
with the leaseholders and residents of Possum Kingdom Lake 
Community on the future direction of the area; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That the Brazos River Authority not engage in 
divestiture of real property before the 80th Legislative Session 
and that legislators have an opportunity for input into this 
complex and important activity; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
forwarded to the chair of the Brazos River Authority as an 
expression of the sentiment of the Texas Senate.
