The bill would amend the Transportation Code as it relates to persons authorized to draw a blood specimen from a vehicle operator to test for alcohol concentration or other intoxicating substances.
The bill would add a licensed or certified emergency medical technician-paramedic or a licensed paramedic to the list of individuals authorized to take a blood specimen at the request of a peace officer.
