HB23 by Brown, Fred (Relating to the use of credit scoring in certain lines of personal insurance.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Based on the analysis of the Texas Deparment of Insurance, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.  The bill would prohibit the use of credit information for insurance underwriting and rating in Texas.

This bill would take effect September 1, 2005.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
