No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would prohibit the burning of household refuse on a lot located in a neighborhood or that is smaller than five acres. The bill would prescribe a Class C misdemeanor for intentionally or knowingly violating the proposed prohibition of burning household refuse on a lot located in a neighborhood or smaller than five acres. No significant impact to the workload of the Commission on Environmental Quality is anticipated.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. The bill could result in slight increases in costs to local law enforcement agencies as a result of the bill's passage.
