No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends Government Code to allow a notary public to keep a notary record book in an electronic format. Any costs to maintain related electronic records are anticipated to be minimal.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
