Local Government Impact

Local election administrations would see some costs savings. Victoria County reported potential savings of 25 percent in early voting clerk costs, but no savings in supplies or ballots, assuming that the same number of people would attempt to vote. Guadalupe County reported a potential savings of 30 percent in early voting costs. Collin and Smith counties also reported that the provisions of the bill could result in lower early voting expenditures.
