HB84 by Riddle (Relating to criminal history records searches for volunteers in children's organized sports; imposing civil liability on certain persons and organizations.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Human Resources Code to require a person or organization sponsoring, organizing, or supervising children's organized sports to conduct a criminal history records search on each person volunteering.  The Department of Public Safety indicates that users will access the records from their public website. 

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
