No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would specify that the 72 hours of confinement in a county jail that is required as a condition of community supervision for a defendant convicted of an intoxication or alcoholic beverage offense must be served continuously. The bill would take effect September 1, 2005 and would apply only to offenses committed on or after that date.
