No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
This bill would expand the duties of an attorney ad litem representing a child in proceedings regarding the abuse or neglect of the child. The bill would require the ad litem visit with the child or the caretaker of the child prior to each court hearing.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated. Attorneys ad litem could possibly charge additional fees to cover the cost of the additional meetings, but these costs are not expected to be significant.
