No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Family Code to provide a court that renders a qualified domestic relations order with continuing, exclusive jurisdiction to amend the order. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house. If not, the bill would take effect September 1, 2005.
