HB260 by Goodman (Relating to suits affecting the parent-child relationship and protective orders.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would outline guidelines for possession and access of a child by the grandparent or other person involved in a suit affecting the parent-child relationship.  The bill would also amend the Family Code to include that a protective order is a final, appealable order.  The court that rendered the order would retain jurisdiction until the appellate court supercedes the order.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
