IN RE:
HB261 by Goodman (Relating to possession of or access to a grandchild and designation of other relatives as managing conservators.), Conference Committee Report

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill gives grandparents the right to possession of a child instead of mere access to a child in certain circumstances.  The bill would also include an aunt or uncle to be considered as the managing conservator of a child if both of the parents are deceased.  No significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
