LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 79TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

March 2, 2005

TO:
Honorable David Swinford, Chair, House Committee on State Affairs

FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Deputy Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB305 by Goodman (Relating to the prohibition against members of a governmental body meeting in numbers less than a quorum.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The Office of the Attorney General anticipates any legal work resulting from the passage of this bill could be reasonably absorbed with current resources.  The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in both houses; otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2005.
