HB317 by Pena (Relating to designating May 5 as Tejano Heritage Day.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would create May 5 as Tejano Heritage Day to commemorate the history of Tejanos and the contributions Tejanos have made to the State of Texas and the world.

The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in both houses; otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2005.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
