No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill repeals Section 171.004 of the Health and Safety Code which requires that abortion of a fetus age 16 weeks or more be performed only at an ambulatory surgical center or hospital licensed to perform abortions.

There is no fiscal impact to the Department of State Health Services or the Health and Human Services Commission.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
