IN RE:
HB391 by Smith, Todd (Relating to computer-assisted hunting from remote locations; providing penalties.), As Introduced
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Chapter 62 of the Parks and Wildlife Code relating to computer-assisted hunting from remote locations; providing penalties. The bill would prohibit a person from engaging in computer-assisted remote hunting or providing or operating facilities for computer-assisted remote hunting if the animal being hunted is located in Texas. A violation of bill provisions would be a Class C Parks and Wildlife Code misdemeanor, unless it is shown at the trial of the defendant that the defendant has been convicted one or more times of a violation of bill provisions, in which case the offense would be Class B Parks and Wildlife Code misdemeanor. To the extent the bill would add an additional provision to be enforced by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, a fiscal implication to the State is not anticipated.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
