No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Penal Code to increase the penalty for prohibited sexual conduct from a felony of the third degree to a felony of the second degree. The bill would take effect September 1, 2005. Because the bill is not expected to substantially add to the inmate population, no significant fiscal impact to the State is anticipated.
