No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill would would amend Section 2.204(b), Family Code, to include persons who are not members of the Armed Forces but are employed by the Department of Defense or are under contract with the Department of Defense as exceptions to the 72-hour waiting period relating to marriage.   

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
