LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 79TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

March 18, 2005

TO:
Honorable Kent Grusendorf, Chair, House Committee on Public Education

FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Deputy Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB492 by Woolley (Relating to personal finance education as a requirement for graduation from high school. ), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  It is assumed that the bill as written would not require a separate course in personal finance education but rather would require a personal finance component within existing economics curriculum as a graduation requirement.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
