IN RE: | HB506 by Hilderbran (Relating to hunting on or over certain submerged land; providing a penalty.), As Introduced |
The bill would amend Chapters 61 and 62 of the Parks and Wildlife Code to prohibit a person from hunting or taking any wild bird or animal when a person is on conspicuously marked, privately owned land submerged under public water, unless the person owns the submerged land or has the landowner's consent.
New convictions for hunting or taking wild animals over certain submerged land may generate additional revenue. However, no significant fiscal implication to the state is anticipated.
