Local Government Impact
Under provisions of the bill, The board of regents of Stephen F. Austin State University may charge each student enrolled at the university a recreational sports fee not to exceed $120 per semester or summer session of longer than six weeks or $60 per summer session of six weeks or less. The amount of revenue generated by the fee, locally assessed by Stephen F. Austin University, would depend on the fee amount assessed by the University and could increase with enrollment growth.
