No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The Office of the Attorney General assumes the bill would generate new cases and lawsuits filed by the agency’s Financial Litigation Division, however, the agency indicates it could absorb any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill within its current resources.

The bill would take effect June 1, 2006.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
