No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Section 264.101, Family Code, by adding Subsection (a-1) which states that the Department shall continue to pay the cost of foster care until after the age of 18 if the child is enrolled in an accredited program leading toward a high school diploma.
