No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 22 of the Parks and Wildlife Code to rename and reorganize the advisory board for the San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Park.  The bill would add two members to the advisory board, add state legislators whose districts include the battleground as non-voting ex-officio members, and provide that board members serve without compensation, but are entitled to reimbursement for actual expenses incurred during performance of board duties.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department may incur additional expenses related to reimbursements paid to board members. However, the fiscal impact of the additional expenses is not anticipated to be significant.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
