No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to allow certain armed forces personnel who apply for renewal of a concealed handgun license to an exemption from the range instruction portion of the handgun proficiency course if they meet certain criteria. The Department of Public Safety indicates that these exemptions can be accomplished within existing resources.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
