HB692 by Menendez (Relating to the punishment for and certain civil consequences of committing the offense of prostitution.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Penal Code by creating as a third degree felony the act of prostitution if the person to receive the fee or solicited to be hired was younger than 17 at the time of the offense. The bill would take effect September 1, 2005 and would apply only to the punishment for an offense committed on or after that date.

No significant fiscal implication is anticipated as a result of enforcing, prosecuting, or punishing the offense.
