No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code by making certain offenses relating to a driver's license or personal identification certificate a Class A misdemeanor instead of a Class B misdemeanor. If conduct relating to a driver's license or personal identification certificate also constitutes an offense under Section 106.07, Alcoholic Beverage Code, the actor may be prosecuted only under Section 106.07, Alcoholic Beverage Code.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.
