No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code to allow consideration of the extent to which and injury or death resulted from acts or omissions that occured in this state as it relates to the doctrine of forum non conveniens. The bill also repeals Section 71.051(f) of the Civil Practices and Remedies Code.
