IN RE:	HB765 by Menendez (relating to certificate of insurance and notice of coverage requirements for certain group health insurance policies.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

This bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to the required minimum annual policy limits for certain group accident and health insurance policies.  The Texas Department of Insurance assumes that all necessary rules would be adopted and anticipates that any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.

This bill would take effect September 1, 2005.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
