IN RE:
HB807 by Driver ( Relating to reporting the outcome of alcohol and drug tests of holders of commercial driver's licenses.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Transportation Code relating to reporting the outcome of alcohol and drug tests of holders of commercial driver's licenses. Under current law, the requirement that employers report positive drug test results to the Department of Public Safety is codified in Section 643.064, Transportation Code. The bill would move that section to Transportation Code, Section 644.252. The bill would also require employers to report refusals to provide a specimen and an adulterated specimen.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
