No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code to prohibit employers from establishing a policy or rule that prohibits a concealed handgun license holder from transporting or storing a concealed handgun in a locked vehicle in any parking lot, garage, or designated area. The bill would not apply to prohibited premises under state or federal law. The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.
