The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code to allow certain permit holders (holders of nonresident seller's permits who own wineries outside of the state, nonresident seller's or manufacturer's agent's permit holders, wine only package store permit holders, or wine and beer retailers’ off-premise permit holders) to conduct product samplings. The bill would also require that any alcoholic beverage sampled or tasted be purchased from the retailer on whose premise the tasting or sampling is held.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2005.
