HB989 by Chisum (Relating to a mechanism to provided for recovery of certain transmission investments of electric utilities.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The Public Utility Commission indicates that it could absorb any costs associated with the bill within its existing resources.

The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote of all the members elected to each house.  If the bill does not receive a two-thirds majority vote of all the members elected to each house, the bill would take effect September 1, 2005.


Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
