No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would authorize a charter school that specializes in the performing arts to require demonstration of ability as a condition of admission or continuing enrollment in the school. The bill would require that in the event that the number of applicants that meet ability requirements exceeds the number of available enrollment slots, that male and female applicants be admitted in equal numbers through a lottery system.
