No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would clarify that the Railroad Commission (RRC) can provide specific lease production data if an oil and gas royalty interest owner has the RRC identification number and county and that the information can be obtained either by contacting the Oil and Gas Division (rather than the RRC’s office of public assistance) or through the agency’s website. Since the bill clarifies procedures currently used by the RRC, no fiscal impact is expected as a result of the bill's enactment.
