HB1179 by Dutton (Relating to the authority of an associate judge in certain family law cases.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would allow an associate judge hearing family law cases under Subchapter A of Chapter 201 of the Family Code to sign and render a temporary order.  Previously, this type of associate judge could only recommend a temporary order to the referring court.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
