No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill relates to criminal background checks on users of online relationship services. Online (Internet based) services that provide relationship services would be required to inform the consumer if they have, or have not, performed a criminal background check for the persons whose profiles are featured by the service.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2005
