No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would add possession of a credit card or debit card that does not belong to the person with intent to use it to the description of an act that is a State Jail Felony offense. The bill would remove the requirement that the person sign or write their name on the credit card of another person's credit or debit card in order for the act to be an offense. The bill would take effect September 1, 2005 and would apply only to an offense committed on or after that date.
