No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Texas Building and Procurement Commission to develop and implement a dispute resolution program for use by contractors and state agencies to resolve disputes arising under a contract for a building construction project.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2005. 

The Texas Building and Procurement Commission has indicated that the development and implementation of this provision could be absorbed within current appropriations.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
