No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends Texas Government Code Section 615.003 to provide a $250,000 death benefit payment to eligible survivors of certain Texas Forest Service employees with fire related duties. The bill is estimated to cover more than 200 additional employees. An additional death payment is estimated to occur between every one and ten years.
