Honorable Ray Allen, Chair, House Committee on County Affairs
FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Deputy Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
HB1452 by Howard (Relating to the establishment of auxiliary county facilities outside the county seat of certain counties.), As Introduced
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would apply to a county that has a population of more than 350,000, is adjacent to a county with a population of 3.3 million or more, and contains any part of a municipality that is located in three or more counties. The parameters of the bill would apply only to Fort Bend County.
Local Government Impact
Because the bill would not have statewide impact on units of local government of the same type or class, no comment from this office is required by the rules of the House/Senate as to its probable fiscal implication on units of local government.
