The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to add to the list of individuals that may request testing of another person who may have exposed the individual to a reportable disease. No significant fiscal impact to the State is anticipated.
Local Government Impact
Costs to local governmental entities would depend on the number of correctional facility, secure correctional facility, or secure detention facility employees who would request testing after being exposed to a person with a reportable disease.
